New Book – Geospatial Data Science & July Sale
Geemap and Earth Engine
We are excited to announce that our first work with popular educator Dr. Qiusheng Wu is now available as a mini e-book in the Locate Press store.
Most of our books are full-length with many chapters, but we have released this initial self-contained chapter to help get you using Google Earth Engine and the geemap project for Python and JavaScript sooner than later.
This book teaches you how to design and publish Earth Engine Apps using both JavaScript and Python. You will be introduced to the Earth Engine user interface JavaScript API, and the geemap Python package. Upon completion of this chapter, you will be able to publish an Earth Engine App with a split-panel map for visualizing land cover change.
Later this year, we will have the full book with many chapters focused on aspects of geospatial data science, application development, and using big data for geospatial problem solving.
